The name Minty Basil comes from a blend of my name, Min, and my husband’s name, Basil. I launched the shop in 2013 while we were living in a small studio apartment in New York City, driven by a desire to create meaningful, hand-painted gifts for friends and family—made with quality from start to finish. That spirit still guides everything we do today. Behind every illustration is a strong belief in quality, craft, and intention. While creative styles naturally evolve, the work always aims to feel personal and enduring. That perspective also shapes how we work with our customers—with openness and a genuine respect for your ideas and time.
